Learning 2.0 - 23 Things for Teachers is based on Learning 2.0 - 23 Things. That program is based on the Learning 2.0 program that was designed by Helene Blowers, Technology Director at the Charlotte Mecklenburg County Public Library system, with the support and assitance of several staff. Helene's program was loosely based upon Stephen Abram's article, 43 Things I (or You) might want to do this year (Information Outlook - Feb 2006) and the website 43Things.

This information was in the "About" section under "Getting Started" on the home page of the 23Things.

As for using it in the classroom, it will be indispensable. With technology-based learning, student-guided learning, discovery-learning, and the dozens of ways students use the Internet in the classroom, it is necessary to have a tool that enables the students to choose and use the enormous amount or resources available to them in their learning. Without the Creative Commons allowances, their choices in learning would be so much more narrow. This opens a whole new world to them...and to me also.
